Bwoah: Kimi returns at COTA

The 2007 Formula One Champion Kimi Räikkönen returns to NASCAR Cup Series competition at the Circuit of the Americas with Team Trackhouse’s Project 91.

Räikkönen made his first Cup Series start in 2022 at Watkins Glen, 11 years after his pair of lower series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway for Kyle Busch. After showing promising speed in the race’s early stages, the Finnish driver’s start at Watkins Glen yielded only a 37th place finish following a mid-race accident.

Fortunately, the 21-time F1 winner will have another shot at Cup Series glory on March 26th at the site of his last F1 victory – and will do so with the team holding the last NASCAR victory at the Austin, Texas based venue.
