Focused Health 250: SVG gets another road win at COTA

Shane Van Gisbergen dominated yet another road race in the O’Reilly Auto Parts series getting the win at the Circuit of the Americas, which was the only remaining road course not won by the kiwi.

The Richard Childress Racing cars continued their domination of the 2026 season. Points leader Austin Hill got the honour of a runner-up finish and a stage win. Jesse Love piloted his no. 2 car to 4th place with strong points finishes in both stages.

Connor Zilisch again looked to challenge Van Gisbergen on the road, getting the pole to open up the race. On his way to a strong finish, Zilisch was spun by the no. 17 of Corey Day entering turn 2, relegating the 19 year old to 21st place.

Stage two winner Sam Mayer was on for a strong finish before overshooting the corner in turn 6a, collecting Rajah Caruth and Carson Kvapil. Mayer’s no. 41 would finish 14th.

Sammy Smith bounced back from a bad Atlanta finish to third on the road and Corey Day rounded out the top 5.

The NASCAR O’Reilly series rolls into Phoenix Raceway on March 7th.
